Practice Manager

About the Role

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday management position leading the non-clinical operations of a well-established four-site practice based in Midhurst, West Sussex. You'll work closely with clinical leadership to ensure efficient day-to-day running, strong team performance, and an outstanding client experience across the main site and three smaller branches within a 9-mile radius.

The practice is beautifully situated in the South Downs, moments from the coast and just over an hour from London, offering the best of both worlds for work-life balance. You'll be joining an established team of 9 vets, 7 RVNs, 2 SVNs, 4 VCAs, and reception staff who are collectively dedicated to excellent standards of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and develop the non-clinical team across all sites, fostering a positive and collaborative culture
• Oversee day-to-day operations, managing rotas, recruitment, onboarding, and team development
• Deliver an excellent client journey from initial contact through to follow-up care
• Support financial processes including invoicing, payroll, and stock control
• Monitor performance and support practice growth and continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with RCVS standards, health and safety, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain facilities, equipment, and stock levels across multiple sites
• Handle client feedback and resolve issues professionally and confidently
• Support marketing and community engagement initiatives

Requirements

• Proven experience in a management role, ideally within healthcare, veterinary, or service-led environments
• Strong people management skills, including performance management and team development
• Good operational and organisational capability, with ability to manage competing priorities
• Experience handling complaints, change, and complex situations with confidence
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Flexibility and openness to discussing ways of working with the right candidate
