About the Role

You’ll join Anderson Moores Vet Specialists, a referral-focused practice where cardiology takes centre stage. This is a full-time position offering the chance to deliver advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services in a collaborative environment where your expertise in managing complex cardiac cases will be valued and challenged.

Based at the Winchester location, you’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team (internal medicine, surgery, anaesthesia) and have the opportunity to mentor interns, residents, and nursing staff. This role combines clinical excellence with teaching and team leadership in a fast-paced referral setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services for cardiovascular disease, including echocardiography, ECG interpretation, and interventional procedures
  • Collaborate with internal medicine, surgery, and anaesthesia colleagues to ensure comprehensive patient care pathways
  • Mentor and provide clinical guidance to interns, residents, and nursing staff
  • Communicate diagnoses, treatment options, and prognoses clearly with clients
  • Contribute to development of clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in veterinary cardiology through continuing education

Requirements

  • Board certification in cardiology (ECVIM or ACVIM) or completion of a recognised cardiology residency programme
  • Proven clinical experience managing complex cardiac cases
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with commitment to client care and team collaboration
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced referral hospital environment

Desirable

  • Experience in interventional cardiology procedures (pacemaker implantation, balloon valvuloplasty)
  • Interest in teaching and mentoring veterinary professionals
  • Involvement in clinical research or willingness to contribute to clinical studies
