About the Role

This is a sought-after part-time position at Chalfont St Peter, a first-opinion GP practice serving its local community in a picturesque Buckinghamshire village. You'll work 26.13 hours per week across three days, with a manageable 1:3 Saturday rota and 1:10 Sunday hospital rotation (plus two bank holidays yearly at the nearby Mandeville Hospital). Crucially, there are no on-call requirements.

The practice benefits from a loyal, largely insured clientele, enabling comprehensive in-house diagnostic capabilities including ultrasound. With three consultation rooms, separate dog and cat wards, and a large garden with decked area for breaks, this is a pleasant working environment. You'll be fully supported by three vets, an experienced nursing team, a strong reception crew, and a dedicated regional manager who have all been with or around the practice for years.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing support across the practice's daily caseload
• Assist with diagnostic procedures including ultrasound and in-house laboratory work
• Support surgical and anaesthetic work under veterinary supervision
• Contribute to patient care and ward management
• Work collaboratively with the three-vet team and nursing colleagues
• Participate in the branch Saturday rota and hospital Sunday rotation as scheduled

Requirements

• Full RCVS registration as a Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
