Join a thriving three-site practice in East Lothian where you'll be the friendly face welcoming clients and their pets every day. A 12-month fixed-term contract with a supportive team of 16 vets, 12 nurses, and 13 reception/admin staff who genuinely work well together.

🕐 Schedule & Rota

1 in 5 weekend rota

About the Role

You’ll be at the heart of this busy, well-established multisite practice, providing the warm welcome and smooth operations that keep things running. Based primarily at the Musselburgh branch with shifts across Bonnyrigg and occasional cover for Penicuik, you’ll work a 4-day week across 38 hours (Monday–Friday), with a 1 in 5 weekend rota to share the workload fairly with the team.

Gordon Vets has built a loyal client base and a reputation for caring practice. The reception team you’re joining is part of a larger, experienced group—16 vets, 12 nurses, and 13 reception and admin staff across three locations—creating real support and camaraderie rather than the chaos of understaffed practices.

  • Attend training events to maintain the knowledge and awareness needed for the role

Requirements

  • A friendly, organised, and customer-focused approach to your work

  • Experience in a customer-facing role with a strong focus on service and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment
  • Collaborative team player with a willingness to support colleagues
