Swift Referrals is recruiting an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse for its permanent Out of Hours team in Wetherby. This is a 5 on, 10 off rota with 12 hour shifts each day, giving you a clear pattern while working in a referral hospital setting.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary environment caring for first opinion and referral emergency cases, inpatients and ICU patients. The role includes close working with emergency clinicians, vets, nurses and ACAs, alongside advanced facilities and a wide mix of complex cases.
Swift Referrals in Wetherby is described as a state-of-the-art multidisciplinary referral hospital. It covers orthopaedics, neurology, internal medicine and soft tissue surgery, and has advanced imaging and surgical facilities including a 1.5T Siemens MRI scanner, a 128-slice GE CT scanner, Doppler ultrasound, endoscopy and arthroscopy.
The hospital also has separate dog and cat wards, plus a dedicated ECC and OOH centre with a large ICU for critical cases. It treats dogs, cats and small pets.
