Registered Veterinary Nurse

About the Role

Seafield Veterinary Group is seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their Banff Surgery on a full-time 12-month fixed-term basis. This is a daytime role working 38 hours across 4 days per week (Monday to Friday), with participation in a 1-in-4 Saturday rota.

You'll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. The practice benefits from a comprehensive range of diagnostic and surgical tools including a full IDEXX lab suite and updated ultrasound, allowing cases to be worked up in-house to a high standard. The Banff branch specialises in small animal care, though exposure to farm or equine cases can be arranged if desired.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-standard nursing care to patients across a varied caseload, including routine, emergency, and surgical cases
• Support veterinary surgeons with procedures, inpatient care, diagnostics, and Schedule 3 activities where appropriate
• Run nurse consultations and clinics, delivering excellent client care and preventative healthcare advice
• Work effectively both independently and as part of the collaborative practice team
• Support the development of nursing services and contribute to maintaining high clinical standards across the practice

Requirements

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
• Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
• A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement

About the Practice

Seafield Veterinary Group operates three branches: Keith (mixed practice covering small animal, farm, and equine), Banff, and Buckie. In 2018, Bellevue Veterinary Centre joined the group to become the Banff Surgery.
