About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to become a practice owner with Vets for Pets, a partnership model designed to turn your veterinary ambitions into reality. You'll own and operate a brand-new small animal practice in Wokingham, a sought-after market town in Berkshire with excellent transport links to Reading, London, and Guildford. The practice will be located within an existing Pet Care Centre, giving you immediate access to a stream of potential clients and positioning you as part of the local community from day one.

As the practice owner, you have true clinical and operational autonomy. You'll define your clinical journey, client relationships, team culture, and how you run the business—with no corporate direction on protocols, medications, or medical decisions. You're in charge, and the practice is genuinely yours.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all clinical operations of the practice
• Build and nurture your team, defining practice culture and values
• Drive client acquisition and relationship management within the local community
• Make clinical and business decisions independently, with full autonomy over treatment protocols and practice direction
• Work with Vets for Pets' support teams on recruitment, finance, payroll, IT, marketing, and HR as needed
• Manage practice finances and work towards loan repayment over time

Requirements

• Qualified veterinary surgeon (MRCVS)
• Proven clinical experience and professional credibility
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ambition to build and grow your own practice
• Business acumen or willingness to develop it with support
• Strong leadership and team-building capabilities

About the Practice

Vets for Pets is opening a brand-new, state-of-the-art small animal practice in Wokingham, Berkshire. The practice will be custom-built within a mezzanine space at an existing Pet Care Centre, featuring three consultation rooms, prep area and theatre, X-ray and laboratory facilities, separate cat and dog wards with dedicated waiting areas, an isolation ward, office space, and a fully branded reception. The location offers excellent accessibility and a ready stream of new pet owner clients through the Pet Care Centre.
