Shield Vets is a well-established small animal veterinary group based in Southampton with two practices located 10-15 minutes apart. Staff work across both sites, benefiting from easy access to the New Forest and excellent transport links to London. This full-time role offers a varied nursing position within a supportive primary care environment, with a team of eight RVNs (plus one SVN) ranging from new graduates to professionals with over 30 years' experience.
The role involves full-day shifts Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (rotating between 7:45 am-4:45 pm, 8 am-5 pm, and 10 am-7 pm), with Tuesdays as a half-day from 8 am-1 pm. Saturday rota is currently 1 in 4, working 8 am-12 pm, averaging 40 hours per week. The practice is working towards Cat Friendly Clinic status and welcomes nurses who enjoy nurse consults and building strong client relationships.
