You'll be joining Rowe Vets Thornbury, a well-equipped small animal practice with three veterinary surgeons that forms part of the Rowe Veterinary Group and IVC Evidensia network. This 12-month fixed-term maternity cover role offers an excellent blend of first opinion practice work and exposure to a busier 24-hour hospital environment at Bradley Stoke.
Working 25.3 hours per week across Monday, Thursday, and Friday (weekday hours between 8:00am and 6:00pm), you'll also participate in a 1:6 weekend rota at the hospital on Saturday or Sunday mornings (7:30am to 4:30pm), with one day off in lieu and one day paid each weekend worked. This structured schedule provides genuine work-life balance alongside clinical variety.

The group operates six practices across North Bristol including surgeries in Thornbury, Yate, Winterbourne, Brimshaw, and Wotton-under-Edge, alongside a 24-hour hospital at Bradley Stoke with an MRI facility. The Thornbury surgery specialises in small animal care for dogs, cats, small furries, birds, and exotic animals.
