About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week over 4 days, offering an excellent work-life balance in London’s thriving Hammersmith & Fulham neighbourhood. You’ll specialise in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, joining a newly established referral centre that opened its doors in May 2024 on the banks of the River Thames.

As part of London Vet Specialists’ multi-disciplinary team, you’ll work alongside specialists in anaesthesia & analgesia, cardiology, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, emergency & critical care, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, and ophthalmology. This collaborative environment ensures you can deliver exceptional patient outcomes with expert input from across disciplines, supported by outstanding facilities and your Head of Surgery, Dr Kiki Tarvin.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform soft tissue and orthopaedic surgical procedures using advanced equipment including Arthrex instrumentation, IMEX external skeletal fixation, Synthes locking systems, and arthroscopy towers
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary surgical and anaesthesia teams to provide comprehensive perioperative care
  • Contribute to clinical excellence and help shape service development as the practice continues to grow
  • Utilise on-site diagnostic capabilities including MRI, CT, ultrasound, digital radiography, and C-arm fluoroscopy to inform surgical planning
  • Participate in a supportive team culture focused on both patient care and staff wellbeing

Requirements

  • Board certification or board eligibility in small animal surgery (or equivalent international qualification)
  • Veterinary degree and full registration with the RCVS (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrable expertise in soft tissue and/or orthopaedic surgery
  • Strong communication and collaborative working skills
