About the Role

London Vet Specialists is recruiting a board-certified or board-eligible veterinary surgeon specialising in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. You’ll join a dynamic multi-disciplinary referral team in a stunning new hospital that opened in 2024, working 40 hours per week over 4 days. This is a permanent position offering flexibility between full-time and part-time arrangements.

You’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of this rapidly growing referral centre, collaborating with specialists in anaesthesia, cardiology, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, and emergency & critical care. The supportive team culture means you’ll have immediate access to colleague expertise across all disciplines—essential for delivering complex patient care and building your own surgical practice.

Based in Hammersmith, London, this role offers the perfect balance of cutting-edge facilities and a collaborative environment where your clinical decisions directly influence the hospital’s development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead soft tissue and orthopaedic surgical cases, with support from Head of Surgery Dr Kiki Tarvin and the broader surgical team
  • Perform complex surgical procedures using state-of-the-art equipment including BlueSeal instrumentation, Unium tower thoracoscopic/laparoscopic systems, SILS ports, and advanced fixation devices
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary specialist team to provide integrated care and manage complex cases requiring cross-specialty input
  • Contribute to clinical excellence and the hospital’s ongoing development as a leading referral centre
  • Participate in clinical governance, continuing professional development, and specialty college requirements

Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in soft tissue and/or orthopaedic surgery (or eligible to work towards certification)
  • Current RCVS registration
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary specialist team
  • Strong surgical skills and commitment to clinical excellence
