About the Role

You’ll be joining Medivet Cowbridge, a well-established small animal practice nestled in the heart of Cowbridge—a picturesque market town on Cardiff’s doorstep. This is a genuine mixed consulting and surgical role where you’ll get to do the full breadth of small animal medicine, from routine appointments to more complex procedures. Working as part of a tight-knit team of three vets, you’ll have colleagues around you and the clinical backup that makes a real difference to your day. The 40-hour week includes 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (9am–1pm only)—no nights, no emergency shifts. It’s the kind of schedule that lets you actually plan a weekend.

Cowbridge itself is a gem: independent shops, proper cafés, and a genuine sense of community. Cardiff’s vibrant city centre is 20 minutes away, the Glamorgan coast is on your doorstep, and the countryside is everywhere. It’s work-life balance you can actually live.
