🕐 Schedule & Rota

Weekend rota: either 1 in 3 Saturdays at branch site, 1 in 3 Saturdays/Sundays at Hendon 24 Hospital, or 1 in 6 full weekends at Hendon 24 Hospital. Additional: 2–3 bank holiday shifts per year and 2–3 on-call weeks per year.

About the Role

This is a clinical leadership opportunity spanning two Medivet branches in Muswell Hill, just one mile apart. You’ll split your time equally between both sites, providing consistent leadership and mentorship to the nursing teams. The role combines hands-on patient care with strategic team development—you’ll lead nurse-led appointments, manage admissions and discharges, and support surgical procedures whilst setting the clinical and cultural tone for your nursing colleagues.

The rota includes weekend commitments: either one in three Saturdays at a branch site, one in three Saturdays or Sundays at Hendon 24 Hospital, or one in six full weekends at Hendon 24 Hospital. You’ll also share bank holiday shifts (2–3 per year) and on-call weeks (2–3 per year), ensuring continuity of care across the group’s 24-hour provision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver clinical leadership, inspiration and development to nursing teams across both branches
  • Lead nurse-led appointments and schedule 3 activities, supporting consults, surgeries and procedures
  • Manage patient monitoring, admissions and discharges with exceptional attention to detail
  • Uphold all regulatory, practice and operational standards and compliance requirements
  • Provide mentorship and professional development to nursing colleagues, helping them grow and excel
  • Ensure consistently exceptional patient and client care across both sites

Requirements

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of inspiring and developing team members
  • Confidence in clinical decision-making and patient care delivery
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient, client and colleague care
  • Flexibility to work the required weekend and on-call rota pattern
