About the Role
This is your chance to lead a dynamic small animal practice in Harmans Water, a leafy suburb of Bracknell with easy access to the M3 and M4. You'll work four days per week on a full-time basis with a fair share of weekends, and the practice is flexible if you're looking for a different working pattern. The branch is well equipped with three consultation rooms, dental X-ray facilities, and separate cat and dog wards.
You'll benefit from close proximity to Medivet's 24-hour centre in Wokingham, plus nearby specialist practices covering orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, dermatology, medicine, ultrasonography, dentistry, exotics, and ophthalmology. This gives you strong clinical support and referral pathways for complex cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures
- Provide clear, professional updates to clients and ensure accurate estimates
- Lead the practice team, mentoring and developing colleagues to enhance their skills and confidence
- Maintain the highest standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance
- Work closely with the Practice Manager to drive commercial performance
- Inspire the team by sharing best practice, new standards, and process improvements
- Arrange clinical handovers and coordinate transfer of patients requiring out-of-hours or specialist care
- Champion clinical excellence across the wider Medivet community
Requirements
- RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
- Demonstrated clinical leadership skills
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional care to patients and clients
- Experience implementing a progressive clinical culture
- Track record of delivering strong commercial performance through effective clinical resource allocation
- Skilled in coaching and influencing colleagues to perform at their best
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities
- Experience in ophthalmology is desirable but not required
