Veterinary Surgeon - Medicine / Imaging / Cardiology

About the Role

Medivet Canonbury is looking for a clinically driven veterinary surgeon with a real interest in internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, or cardiology. This is a four-day-per-week position that gives you time and space to develop complex medical cases in-house, manage thorough diagnostics, and build strong client relationships through continuity of care. The practice prioritises high clinical standards and professional growth, creating an environment where you can influence service development and shape the direction of the clinic.

Based in North London with excellent transport links (Essex Road station nearby, Highbury and Islington within ten minutes), you'll work with a well-established practice serving a loyal and growing client base. The Saturday rota is flexible: choose between one in three Saturdays or one in six full weekends, depending on your preference.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied and increasingly complex medical caseload with a focus on diagnostics and case investigation
• Deliver exceptional clinical care in consultations and surgery to the highest standards
• Develop tailored treatment plans with clients and build long-term relationships through continuity
• Contribute to in-house service development and clinical standards across the practice
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Medivet network and share expertise within clinical communities
• Support the development of the practice's diagnostic and therapeutic services

Requirements

• Qualified MRCVS with strong interest in internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, or cardiology
• Working towards or already holds a relevant certificate, or equivalent experience in these areas
• Confident in medical case management with genuine interest in clinical problem-solving
• Team player who values communication, collaboration, and high clinical standards
• Motivated to grow clinically and develop within an evolving practice environment

• Salary: £60,000 to £70,000 depending on experience
