About the Role

This is a partnership opportunity at Medivet Maresfield, a purpose-built small animal practice located near Uckfield in East Sussex. You’ll step into an established, well-positioned clinic with room to grow, backed by Medivet’s regional partner network and operational support. Rather than the isolation of independent ownership, you’ll lead your own clinic day-to-day whilst benefiting from mentorship, clinical backup, and out-of-hours support from nearby partners—giving you the security of a wider team alongside genuine autonomy.

The practice is ready for a leader to make it their own. You’ll manage a three-vet clinic with a skilled team of Registered Veterinary Nurses, Veterinary Care Assistants, and dedicated support staff. With separate dog and cat wards, two surgical suites, comprehensive diagnostic facilities, on-site parking, and easy client access, the infrastructure is already in place for you to deliver high-quality care and grow the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead clinical decision-making and mentoring within a three-vet practice
• Oversee day-to-day management of Medivet Maresfield’s operations and team
• Deliver small animal veterinary care to an established, loyal client base
• Build and develop the practice in line with your vision and values
• Collaborate with the regional partner network to share expertise, cases, and clinical support
• Maintain clinical standards whilst growing the practice’s potential

Requirements

• Qualified veterinary surgeon with current RCVS registration
• Leadership drive and ambition to own and grow a practice
• Passion for high-quality small animal care and community impact
• Experience and confidence in managing a team (prior business ownership not essential)
• Commitment to developing staff and delivering exceptional client care
