Overdale Veterinary Centre, nestled in the picturesque spa town of Buxton in the Peak District, is seeking an experienced RVN to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week over 5 days, with a mixture of early and late shifts and Saturday rotas, but no on-call or bank holiday commitments. You'll be part of a highly supportive and collaborative team that prioritises both clinical excellence and staff wellbeing.
The practice has a classical feel with a strong ethos of providing high-standard clinical care. The team is well-resourced, with 5 small animal vets, 2 mixed vets, 6 nurses, and full support staff. You'll have access to excellent facilities including 3 consulting rooms, a dedicated operating theatre, digital imaging (x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy), dental facilities, in-house laboratory, and separate cat and dog kennels.
Overdale is an established, long-standing practice located in the heart of Buxton, serving the town and surrounding areas including the Hope Valley through a small branch. The practice is part of IVC Evidensia and provides care for all animal types. In 2010, Overdale entered into a voluntary quality scheme with the RCVS, demonstrating commitment to high standards of clinical care and practice management.
