Small Animal Vet

About the Role

Paragon Veterinary Group is looking for an additional small animal clinician to join its team in Cumbria, on the edge of the Lake District. The practice describes client care and clinical excellence as key values, and this role sits within a team of 9 vets and 7 nurses.

The working pattern is a 4.5 day week, with a 1:5 out of hours rota and an extra half day off after a weekend worked. It is a role that also includes scope to broaden your contribution beyond day to day clinical work, with opportunities mentioned for mentoring, sustainability and student training.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide small animal clinical care as part of an independent mixed practice across 3 sites.
• Work collaboratively within a team of 9 vets and 7 nurses.
• Contribute to the practice's teamwork ethos and its focus on client care and clinical excellence.
• Take part in the 1:5 out of hours rota.
• Use the practice's diagnostic and inpatient facilities, including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, blood machines, ultrasound, endoscopy and purpose built in-patient facilities.
• Support wider interests such as mentoring, sustainability or student training where appropriate.
