About the Role

PDSA Wolverhampton is seeking a qualified Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly, collaborative hospital team. You’ll work across a diverse range of medical and surgical cases, seeing animals and owners who genuinely need your help—no two days are ever the same. This is a six-month fixed-term contract (salary £43,950 – £58,312 including allowances), ideal for vets seeking variety, meaningful work, and a supportive environment where case discussion and shared learning are actively encouraged.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver medical and surgical care to a diverse caseload of small animals presenting with varied conditions
  • Make evidence-based clinical decisions and communicate realistic treatment options clearly to clients
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in case discussion and treatment planning
  • Contribute to continuous service improvement and support PDSA’s mission of providing veterinary care to pets of people in financial hardship
  • Help champion client engagement and build trust within the community served

Requirements

  • Qualified Veterinary Surgeon (RCVS registered)
  • Strong clinical confidence and sound decision-making ability
  • Adaptability and resilience to handle a varied caseload
  • Excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues
  • Team player with a collaborative approach and willingness to share knowledge
  • Pragmatic, welfare-focused mindset towards patient care
