A 4-day week, no OOH or on-call, and a role that offers real scope to shape a growing independent practice. This is a confident small animal vet position with sole charge responsibility and room to influence the direction of the clinics.
No OOH or on-call duties. Saturday mornings only, 1:3 rota, 9am to 12pm.
This is an opportunity for an experienced GP veterinary surgeon to join a growing independent small animal practice and take a hands-on part in shaping what comes next. You will have clinical freedom to work cases up in the way you see fit, alongside support to develop your interests and help introduce new services where they fit the practice's direction.
The role also offers scope to build leadership experience while working closely with David, the Head of Clinic and Principal Vet, who has been part of the team since 2019 and became Director in 2022. You will be joining a supportive team across two sites near Heathrow Airport, with clinics in Hayes and Feltham.
The rota is built around balance. Vets work a 4-day week, 9am to 7pm, with 1:3 Saturday mornings only, 9am to 12pm. Out-of-hours are outsourced to NSVE, so there are no OOH or on-call duties, and evenings, Sundays and bank holidays are free.
Petwell House Vets is a well-established, independently owned two-site small animal practice with clinics in Hayes and Feltham. The practice describes itself as friendly and caring, with a focus on tailored, compassionate care for clients and their pets.
Both clinics offer a dedicated prep area, theatre, diagnostic suite, digital X-ray, ultrasound and a full Idexx in-house lab. The practice is also planning renovations later this year and intends to invest in dental X-ray soon.
