  • Providing clinical advice and support to referring veterinary surgeons
  • Participate in clinical governance, case discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives within the imaging service
  • Support and mentor colleagues within the established imaging department where appropriate

Requirements

  • RCVS registration with proven experience in diagnostic imaging, specifically ultrasonography
  • Experience managing or contributing to imaging cases within a referral or busy first opinion practice with significant imaging caseload
  • Advanced Practitioner status, residency training, or working towards a certificate in diagnostic imaging (advantageous but not essential)
  • Confidence performing and interpreting ultrasound cases; further skill development supported by the team
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Commitment to clinical excellence, evidence-based practice, and continuous professional development

Benefits

  • Time Off: 7.6 weeks’ holiday including bank holidays; 10 days paid CPD leave annually
  • Professional Development: £3,000 annual CPD budget; access to IVC Academy training centres and programmes; opportunities to collaborate and share best practice across the IVC Evidensia referral network; support to develop clinical interests and expand capabilities
  • Financial Support: £1,250 annual Care Fund for every vet; BVA membership, VDS cover, and RCVS fees covered
  • Healthcare & Wellbeing: Private medical insurance; enhanced family leave and pay (maternity, paternity, adoption, surrogacy)
  • Additional Perks: Cycle to Work and Green Car schemes (eligibility applies); retail discounts and cashback offers; reduced-cost veterinary care for your own pets
  • Career Pathways: Clear progression opportunities across referral, leadership, and specialist roles; values-led culture focused on care, community, and continuous improvement
