Ready to join a supportive team on Scotland's beautiful east coast? This St Andrews-based practice offers varied small animal work with genuine flexibility and real opportunities to develop your clinical interests.

🕐 Schedule & Rota

1:5 Saturday rota (not overnight/night shifts). 4.5 hours time off in lieu per Saturday shift.

About the Role

You’ll be joining Provost Veterinary Group, a well-established practice nestled in the charming coastal town of St Andrews, with additional branch clinics in Ladybank and Newport. This flexible, full-time or part-time position offers a balanced mix of consulting and surgical work—approximately twice weekly surgical procedures—with the rest of your time spent with clients and their animals. With a manageable 1:5 Saturday rota (receiving 4.5 hours time off in lieu), you’ll work 30–40 hours per week across 3–4 shifts, primarily based at the St Andrews clinic with rotations across the wider practice group.

The practice is ideally positioned within easy reach of Dundee, Edinburgh, and Glasgow, making it perfect if you’re seeking coastal living without sacrificing transport links. St Andrews itself is a stunning draw—world-famous for golf, its historic university, and medieval charm—offering vibrant cultural attractions and a genuine sense of community.

You’ll work alongside a collaborative team of 6 vets, 6 RVNs, and 7 support staff who actively encourage clinical development and support further progression in areas of interest. Modern facilities including digital and dental radiography and ultrasound ensure you’re working with good equipment to deliver confident care across a varied first-opinion caseload.
