About the Role

This is a permanent part-time position offering 25 hours per week across two RCVS GP accredited practice locations in Northampton. You’ll work Saturdays (08:30–17:00 consultation only) with no out-of-hours commitments, giving you genuine control over your work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general medicine and surgery across both Spinney Vets branches, including complex soft tissue procedures (BOAS, orthopaedics, endoscopy, laparoscopy)
  • Work within a team of established veterinarians with specialist interests in dentistry, rabbit medicine, ophthalmology, dermatology, and exotic species
  • Collaborate on complicated cases and support colleagues in their areas of development
  • Deliver high-standard clinical care using modern facilities: Doppler ultrasound, digital and dental radiography, endoscopy, monitoring equipment, and in-house laboratory
  • Engage with the nursing team, including newly developed nursing leadership roles, to optimise patient care
  • Consider undertaking CPD and progressing towards RCVS certificates in your chosen discipline

Requirements

  • Experienced veterinary surgeon with confidence in both general medicine and surgery
  • Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
  • Professional registration with the RCVS
  • Friendly demeanour and commitment to high clinical standards
  • Willingness to engage in CPD and continued professional development
