About the Role

This is a permanent, Saturday-only consulting position at a progressive small animal practice nestled on Southsea’s high street. You’ll work exclusively with feline patients in a busy, well-established clinic where cats genuinely come first—accredited by RCVS Practice Standards and recognised as an ISFM feline-friendly facility. The Saturday role runs 8:00am to 12:00pm, with flexibility to work every Saturday or on a 1:2 or 1:3 rota. Those seeking extra variety can pick up weekday holiday cover, but with no on-call or out-of-hours duties (all emergencies referred to Vets Now from midday), you’ll enjoy excellent work-life balance without the stress of night shifts.

The caseload is predominantly routine consultations with a strong emphasis on dentistry—ideal if you thrive on building lasting client relationships and delivering high-quality everyday care. You’ll be supported by an experienced RVN and friendly receptionist each Saturday, and backed by a collaborative team of two vets, five RVNs, and dedicated client care staff who create a genuinely supportive clinical environment.

The clinic is exceptionally well-equipped with IDEXX in-house blood analysers, digital dental and standard X-ray, ultrasound, doppler, capnograph, and K-laser—everything you need to practise confidently and efficiently.
