Maternity cover at Glenthorne Vets offers a 40-hour week, no out-of-hours, and the chance to split your time across two practices just 15 minutes apart. It's a small animal role with variety, clinical freedom and experienced colleagues close by.
Glenthorne Vets is seeking an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join the team on a maternity cover basis, working across the Uttoxeter and Tutbury practices. The two sites are just 15 minutes apart, so you can enjoy variety in your caseload while still being part of one close-knit team.
This is a 40-hour week worked over 4 or 5 days, with no out-of-hours requirement. You will see a varied caseload with a good mix of surgery and medicine, and there are 15 Saturday mornings per year, running from 8:30am to 12:45pm.
The role offers clinical freedom and autonomy, alongside experienced colleagues for support and discussion. It is a good fit for a vet who enjoys collaborative working, sharing knowledge, and contributing to a positive clinical culture.
Glenthorne Veterinary Group describes itself as a mixed species veterinary practice with three modern surgeries in Uttoxeter, Tutbury and Burton Upon Trent. The group says it looks after as many large animals as small animals and continues to invest in modern equipment and working practices.
For this role, the small animal team includes vets and RVNs, along with certificate holders in Surgery and Medicine. The listed equipment includes digital X-ray, dental radiography, ultrasound and an in-house laboratory.
