About the Role

Minster Equine is seeking a permanent ambulatory vet to join their friendly, collaborative team based in York. You’ll be providing ambulatory equine services to established clients whilst developing and building your own caseload in your area of clinical interest. The role is flexible and can be tailored to suit both recent graduates looking for mentorship and experienced clinicians seeking a new challenge.

With out-of-hours cover provided by an external provider, the rota starts at 1:8, improving to 1:10 from autumn onwards. You’ll receive one lieu day for every weekend worked, and flexible working arrangements can be discussed to suit your needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver ambulatory equine veterinary services to the practice’s established client base
  • Develop and manage your own caseload, building expertise in your chosen clinical focus
  • Work collaboratively with the practice’s experienced RVN and nursing assistant team
  • Utilise the practice’s diagnostic and therapeutic equipment to deliver high-standard care
  • Contribute to the supportive, team-oriented culture at Minster Equine

Requirements

  • Qualified veterinary surgeon (RCVS registered)
  • Interest in equine veterinary medicine
  • Able to work independently in ambulatory settings whilst contributing to a collaborative team environment
