About the Role

Working part-time at 28 hours per week with shifts arranged flexibly, you’ll support the wider team in delivering exceptional care while gaining valuable experience in a bright, air-conditioned, purpose-built facility equipped with digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities.

This role is ideal if you’re considering progressing into a student nurse position in future—you’ll get a genuine flavour of how a modern small animal practice operates, develop your animal handling skills, and build your understanding of veterinary care from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets with warmth and confidence, creating a welcoming first impression
• Guide clients through practice services and additional offerings, keeping up to date with what’s available
• Support colleagues with non-clinical duties that keep the practice running smoothly day-to-day
• Assist in maintaining a calm, attentive environment focused on meeting clients’ needs
• Handle a variety of situations with sensitivity—from supporting clients through difficult news to celebrating happy milestones like a new puppy’s first visit
• Contribute to the overall warm and professional atmosphere through your positive, engaging personality
