Ready for flexible working and genuine autonomy? This independent Canterbury practice values work-life balance as much as clinical excellence—join an award-winning team where you'll have the support and equipment to practise evidence-based medicine without compromise.

About the Role

You’ll join an independent veterinary practice in Canterbury that’s built its reputation on high-quality, evidence-based companion animal care. This role offers genuine flexibility in how you structure your working pattern, whether you prefer full-time commitment or part-time arrangements that fit your life. You’ll work within a collaborative, supportive environment where professional development is actively encouraged, not just a box-ticked on an induction form.

The practice is well-equipped with advanced facilities and backed by a strong nursing team, so you won’t be improvising with outdated kit or stretched RVNs. Instead, you’ll have the resources and people around you to deliver the standard of medicine you believe in.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-standard companion animal veterinary care across a full range of presentations
  • Work collaboratively with the nursing team to provide integrated patient care
  • Contribute to evidence-based clinical practice and maintain professional standards
  • Support the team’s commitment to ongoing professional development and learning culture
  • Engage in effective communication with colleagues, clients, and the broader practice team

Requirements

  • MRCVS registration
  • Experience in companion animal practice
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Commitment to evidence-based veterinary medicine

Benefits

  • Flexible working options: full-time or part-time arrangements available
  • Work-life balance prioritised by the practice
  • Professional development support
  • Access to advanced equipment and facilities
  • Collaborative, supportive team environment

About the Practice

This is an independent veterinary practice serving Canterbury with a strong reputation for award-winning care. The team is structured around delivering excellent companion animal medicine with a genuine focus on supporting their vets and nurses through professional collaboration and development opportunities.
