Client Care Advisor

About the Role

This Client Care Advisor position is based at Vets for Pets Bristol Kingswood, a small animal practice on the outskirts of Bristol. The role is for 30 hours per week, working Monday to Friday in 6 hour shifts, plus one in five Saturday mornings from 9am to 1pm.

You’ll be the first point of contact for clients and their pets, helping to keep the front of house organised, welcoming and calm. The practice describes its team as friendly and supportive, with 5 Vets, 4 Nurses, 2 Student Nurses, 5 Client Care Advisors and a Practice Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome clients and their pets in a friendly and supportive way.
• Act as the link between clients and the clinical team.
• Handle cash and card payments confidently.
• Book appointments and help keep the diary well managed each day.
• Answer phone calls and email enquiries from clients.
• Assist the clinical team with dispensing medication.
• Keep the reception area and consulting rooms clean and presentable throughout the day.

Requirements

• Customer service experience.
• Reception experience.
• Previous experience is preferred but not essential.
• A friendly, welcoming approach with clients and their pets.
• The ability to multitask.
• Calmness, attentiveness and a focus on client needs.
• Confidence in learning and talking about the practice services available.
• Enthusiasm and drive in a busy front of house role.
