This Head Registered Veterinary Nurse role is based in a friendly and supportive small animal practice in Tilehurst, Reading. It is a strong fit for an experienced RVN who wants to step into leadership while staying active in day-to-day clinical nursing.
You will support the smooth running of the nursing team, help maintain clinical and professional standards, and work closely with the Veterinary Surgeons and the wider practice team. The role also includes mentoring RVNs, Student Veterinary Nurses and VCAs, alongside hands-on nursing work across anaesthetic monitoring, theatre nursing, inpatient care, nurse consultations, admissions and discharges, clinical procedures, medical work-ups and patient welfare.
The practice is located within the Pets at Home store at Reading Retail Park and is described as having excellent transport links, free onsite parking, modern facilities and state-of-the-art equipment.
