About the Role

Join a standalone small animal practice in Maidstone that genuinely invests in its team. This part-time position (24 hours per week) offers a refreshing rota structure—1 in 4 weekends with no overnight on-call duties—so you can have real breathing room outside work. You’ll work alongside a talented clinical team, supportive VCAs, and an SVN, all underpinned by a non-clinical team that makes the practice run smoothly.

The practice handles everything from routine surgery and soft tissue procedures to basic orthopaedics, with modern facilities including digital X-ray and ultrasound. Staff retention here speaks volumes—colleagues have stayed for 13–20 years, and the practice is actively supporting its CCA team towards BVRA accreditation, showing genuine commitment to professional growth.

  • Contribute to the care of routine surgical and soft tissue cases

Requirements

  • Commitment to delivering high-quality nursing care
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team

Benefits

  • Competitive salary of up to £30,000 pro rata, depending on experience
  • No out-of-hours or overnight inpatient check work
  • Generous CPD allowance with funded certificates
  • Paid professional memberships (RCVS, BVNA, VDS)
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • 20% discount at Pets at Home and The Groom Room
  • Access to exclusive company and high street discounts and cashbacks
  • Regular social events with strong focus on staff wellbeing
  • In-house career development opportunities
