Registered Veterinary Nurse

About the Role

This is a full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse position working 40 hours a week, with 1 in 4 weekends and occasional OOH. Shifts can be flexible, so the rota can be shaped around what works best for you and your lifestyle.

You’ll be joining a busy 24-hour practice where nursing plays a central role in patient and client care. The site is purpose built and equipped with two operating theatres, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, a full endoscopy unit and access to CT in one of the branches.

The practice is in Romford, with free on-site parking, transport links into central London in 25 minutes and access to the Essex countryside in 20 minutes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day running of the practice and contribute to a high standard of patient and client care.
• Carry out the full Veterinary Nurse role across a busy 24-hour, two-branch practice.
• Use strong communication and organisation skills to help keep the team running smoothly.
• Work alongside vets, RVNs, SVNs and reception colleagues within an established clinical team.
• Show interest in the business side of the practice and help motivate the team towards its goals.

Requirements

• Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills.
• An interest in learning about the practice as a business.
• Willingness to embrace all aspects of the Veterinary Nurse role.

About the Practice

This is a thriving 24-hour practice in Romford with a well-established team of 13 vets, 17 RVNs, 7 SVNs and 12 receptionists across two branches. The practice is purpose built to industry-leading standards and continues to invest in equipment and services for clients.

Facilities include two dedicated operating theatres, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, a full endoscopy unit and CT access in one of the branches.
