Animal Care Assistant

About the Role

This part-time Animal Care Assistant position sits within Vets Now’s emergency and critical care service in Preston. You’ll be supporting clinical teams in a busy emergency clinic, helping to create a comfortable and low-stress environment for in-patients while working across a rota that includes overnight shifts and a Sunday day shift.

The role is hands-on and varied, with work under the guidance of Vet Nurses and Vet Surgeons. It also comes with a clear benefits package, including pro rata annual leave, a paid birthday off, CPD support and staff pet care discount.

Key Responsibilities

• Work under the guidance of Vet Nurses and Vet Surgeons.
• Handle patients for basic procedures and assist with running diagnostic tests.
• Help set up and clear down theatres for surgical procedures.
• Make sure in-patients have their basic husbandry needs met.
• Support clinical teams in a busy emergency clinic environment.

Requirements
