About the Role

This is a weekend-only position at Vets Now Bournemouth, a thriving emergency and critical care clinic. Whether you're looking to expand your ECC experience, work a second job, or build your emergency medicine skills, this role offers the flexibility to progress your career on your own terms. You'll work with a team passionate about emergency and critical care, seeing a varied and interesting caseload that will sharpen your veterinary skills.

The role operates on a 6-week rolling weekend rota, with shifts varying across weeks to allow flexibility around your lifestyle and clinic requirements. Some weeks you'll be off entirely, while others include a mix of Saturday day shifts (12:00-18:30), Sunday day shifts (08:30-18:30), and Sunday back-shifts (08:30-18:30). Bank holidays are included on a fair-share basis, and you can discuss how many available shifts suit your needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency and critical care to a varied small animal caseload
• Work collaboratively with the Vets Now Bournemouth team during weekend shifts
• Develop and refine your ECC skills in an out-of-hours environment
• Contribute to the high standards of care that define Vets Now clinics

Requirements

• Registered Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS)
• Some clinical experience in emergency or out-of-hours practice preferred
• Enthusiasm for emergency and critical care medicine
