Willington Veterinary Clinic is a new, independent and RVN-owned first opinion small animal practice in the heart of County Durham. Since opening on 8 July 2026, demand has grown beyond expectations, and the team is now looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join the practice.
This role would suit a vet who enjoys both consultations and surgery, and who values building lasting relationships with local clients and their pets. You will join a friendly, supportive team in a well-equipped clinic with no out-of-hours commitment.
You will need at least three years of veterinary experience and be confident handling both consultations and operations. Because the role includes some sole charge, the practice is looking for someone comfortable making clinical decisions independently while working collaboratively with the wider team.
Willington Veterinary Clinic is an independent practice owned and run by an RVN, with the local community at the centre of the business. The team currently includes one other Veterinary Surgeon, two RVNs and four front-of-house and reception colleagues.
The clinic occupies a prominent High Street location in Willington, with free parking directly opposite. This is an opportunity to help shape a young, growing practice while delivering a high standard of veterinary care to the surrounding community.
