Take a structured route into ECC with an 8-week Cutting Edge training programme, backed by 250 hours of CPD and clinical mentorship. After training, you'll move into a permanent full-time role with rota options designed around work-life balance.
Night work is included. The rota is described as no more than three nights in a row, with an average of three shifts per week.
This ECC Veterinary Surgeon role starts with the Cutting Edge programme, an 8-week training pathway that combines seminars, practical sessions, mentorship and hands-on experience in your chosen clinic. It is designed to build the knowledge, confidence and clinical judgement needed for emergency work.
Once training is complete, you'll join an ECC clinic of your choice on a full-time, permanent basis. You can choose a rota that suits your lifestyle, working 30 to 40 hours per week, with no more than three nights in a row and an average of three shifts per week.
The role is offered across a wide network of clinics throughout the UK, with the next intake due on 1 March 2027. The programme also includes time at the Central Support hub in Scotland, with accommodation provided for that element of training.
The role is with Inspiring Vet Care and is linked to Vets Now, described in the advert as the UK's leading provider of emergency pet care. The programme is built around emergency and critical care development, with support from recognised ECC specialists and an experienced senior clinician.
Vacancies are available across a broad UK clinic network, including locations such as Salisbury, Glasgow Hospital and many other sites listed in the advert. Each clinic can accommodate only one Cutting Edge veterinarian, and applications are reviewed on a first come, first served basis.
