About the Role
This Operations Support Manager position sits within Medivet’s network and focuses on keeping clinic operations running smoothly across Central and North London. You’ll be field based, working from one of your assigned clinics five days a week, with around one in six weekends on rotation so the network is covered at weekends.
The role supports Partners, Lead Vets, local Practice Managers and the wider network team. It is centred on organisation, consistency and follow-through, with responsibility for rotas, onboarding, compliance, maintenance, finance processes and daily operational support across multiple clinics.
You’ll be visiting clinics regularly, helping to keep communication clear and issues moving quickly, while also supporting the 24hr clinics as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a key operational contact for assigned clinics and visit each one at least fortnightly.
- Support Partners, Lead Vets and local teams with operational queries and escalation points.
- Help cascade communications from the centre to clinics and support team meetings on critical topics.
- Coordinate recruitment requests, interviews and onboarding activity for new starters.
- Maintain clinic rotas up to six months in advance and manage changes to schedules.
- Request locum cover where needed and support BH and weekend cover planning across the network.
- Track leave, absences, timesheets, overtime, one-off payments and cross-branch working.
- Support maintenance logging, incident response, crisis management and accommodation administration.
- Monitor Health and Safety actions, including radiation and laser safety, risk assessments, visitor logs, fire safety, incident reporting, first aid, H&S policies, water safety and audits.
- Approve invoices, review stock management processes and support stock take and aged IBDC requests.
Requirements
- Typically 3+ years’ experience in an operations, field management or multi-site coordination role.
- Experience supporting service delivery teams across multiple locations.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confident using Workday, D365, MS Excel and Outlook.
- Proactive problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced, field-based environment.
- Solid understanding of operational delivery in a veterinary, healthcare or multi-site service environment.
- GCSEs, or equivalent, in English and Maths.
- Full UK driving licence required.

This role is with Medivet, supporting its clinic network and working closely with the Network Partner, Network Director, Partners, Lead Vets and Network Administrators. The position is designed to keep day-to-day operations consistent across assigned clinics, including 24hr sites where support is needed.
The work spans recruitment, rotas, compliance, maintenance, finance and stock processes, so it suits someone who enjoys varied operational responsibility within a veterinary group environment.
