Weekend Veterinary Surgeon

About the Role

Vets Now Manningtree is recruiting a Veterinary Surgeon for weekend backshifts in an emergency and critical care setting. The clinic is described as thriving, with an interesting caseload and a friendly, supportive working environment.

You will usually work as the second vet on shift, which gives you the chance to share knowledge and tackle more complex cases together. The rota is built around two 4-week patterns, with shifts on Saturday from 1700 to 0000, Sunday from 1500 to 2100, and Sunday from 0800 to 1500, plus a fair share of bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver veterinary care during weekend backshifts at the Manningtree clinic.
• Work as the second vet on shift for much of the rota.
• Support the management of more complex emergency and critical care cases.
• Follow one of the two 4-week rolling rota patterns, including bank holidays.
• Work collaboratively within a friendly and supportive clinic environment.

Requirements

• Qualified Veterinary Surgeon.
• Interest in emergency and critical care.
