Wear Referrals is a specialist veterinary referral hospital close to Durham and Newcastle, seeking an experienced Receptionist to join their expanding team. This full-time position runs 40 hours per week across Monday to Sunday, with shifts between 7am and 10pm. You'll be the professional, organised face of reception, managing a busy diary, greeting clients warmly, and ensuring the day runs smoothly through excellent communication and attention to detail.
The hospital serves a wide catchment from the northeast coast to the Pennines, and offers easy access to the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District, and Scotland. You'll work within a 150-strong team that includes 17 European/RCVS Specialists and 70 registered veterinary nurses, supporting specialist services including neurology, orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, anaesthesia, oncology, diagnostic imaging, and cardiology, alongside a busy primary care out-of-hours emergency service and in-house hydrotherapy.
