About the Role

Vets for Pets Romford is recruiting two Front of House Nurses for a full-time role that brings together clinical nursing and client care. It is a varied position for an RVN who enjoys being right at the centre of practice life.

The rota includes early shifts from 9:00am to 5:30pm and late shifts from 12:00pm to 8:30pm. The late shift includes nurse appointments from 12:00pm to 5:00pm, then front of house and reception support from 5:00pm to 8:30pm.

You’ll be supporting both clients and colleagues throughout the day, helping to keep communication clear and patient care on track.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support and guidance to the reception team.
• Handle triage, client queries and initial complaint discussions.
• Support care plan conversations and help clients understand treatment options for their pets.
• Manage repeat prescriptions, POMs, flea and worming treatments, and medication preparation for vets.
• Go through medication instructions with owners and help ensure items are collected and paid for correctly.
• Support the waiting room, telephone calls and client enquiries during the evening.
• Coordinate ashes collections and appointments with the nursing team.
• Complete weekly checks of deceased patients to confirm caskets have been selected and payments have been made.

Requirements

• Qualified RVN status is required.
• You should be experienced, confident and approachable.
• You’ll need to be friendly, organised and comfortable communicating with clients and colleagues.
• You should be happy to provide triage, discuss care plans and support the wider reception team.
