Veterinary Surgeon – Partner

About the Role

This is a partnership opportunity with Medivet Pype Hayes, a well-established small animal practice on Birmingham’s northeastern side. You’ll take ownership of a busy, high-potential clinic with excellent facilities and a strong local reputation, leading day-to-day operations while remaining connected to a collaborative network of nearby partner practices.

Unlike traditional practice ownership, this partnership model removes the usual financial and operational barriers to entry. You’ll have the autonomy to lead and develop the practice your way, with Medivet handling the heavy lifting on HR, payroll, marketing, and health and safety compliance. The clinic is ideally positioned with fantastic transport links to the M6 and M42, offering a blend of city lifestyle and green space.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead clinical decision-making and day-to-day management of Medivet Pype Hayes
• Build and mentor a team of 4 veterinary surgeons (including yourself), RVNs, and knowledgeable support staff
• Drive business growth and develop the practice in line with your professional values
• Maintain clinical excellence and continuity of care for the established client base
• Collaborate with the partner network on clinical cases, skills-sharing, and professional development
• Utilise on-site facilities including dedicated support staff and RVNs to deliver quality outcomes

Requirements

• Qualified veterinary surgeon with clinical expertise and ambition
• Leadership drive and a genuine desire to shape and grow your own practice
• Passion for high-quality care and community impact
• No previous business ownership experience required—just bring your clinical knowledge and ambition
