Join the RSPCA's West Hatch Wildlife Centre and make a direct difference caring for injured, orphaned, and sick British wildlife. Part-time weekends only, working alongside a dedicated rehabilitation team.
You'll be part of the team at West Hatch Wildlife Centre, one of four RSPCA wildlife centres in England dedicated to rehabilitating sick, injured, orphaned, and confiscated wildlife. This is a part-time role working 15 hours per week on Saturdays and Sundays only, offering flexibility alongside meaningful conservation work.
Your days will be dynamic and hands-on, caring for diverse species from nestling birds, hedgehogs, bats, and wood mice to larger wildlife including foxes, badgers, waterfowl, seabirds, and seal pups. You'll maintain facility cleanliness and hygiene standards, provide direct animal care and rehabilitation support, and work collaboratively across departments to ensure the wellbeing of each patient.
The RSPCA is a leading UK charity dedicated to animal welfare across England and Wales. West Hatch Wildlife Centre is part of a network of four specialist wildlife rehabilitation centres providing expert care for Britain's native wildlife. The organisation prioritises diversity and inclusion, actively encouraging applications from underrepresented groups and people with disabilities.
The centre operates with a mission to inspire everyone to create a better world for animals. The team is committed to providing reasonable adjustments throughout recruitment and employment, with support available from the resourcing team if needed.
