Ready to make a real difference for rescued animals? Join the RSPCA's expert team at West Hatch Animal Centre, where you'll provide life-saving veterinary care to thousands of animals in need across just one day per week.
This is a part-time veterinary position based at West Hatch Animal & Wildlife Centre, working just 7 hours per week (typically one day, which may include weekends). You'll be part of the RSPCA's expert team providing life-saving veterinary care to thousands of animals rescued by frontline officers, as well as supporting rescued animals at other RSPCA centres. Unlike general practice, you won't be treating people's pets, instead focusing on the rehabilitation and welfare of injured, ill, and neglected animals.
The role includes some sole charge work alongside your team colleagues, with regular check-ins and team meetings ensuring you feel supported from day one. You'll also participate in off-site shelter medicine work with local branches and centres around once per week, bringing your clinical skills directly to animals in need across the region.
The RSPCA is a leading animal welfare charity operating across England and Wales. West Hatch Animal & Wildlife Centre is one of the RSPCA's expert facilities, providing specialist veterinary and animal care services. The centre rescues and rehabilitates thousands of animals annually, from dogs and cats to small furries and wildlife, supported by RSPCA frontline officers across the region.
The organisation is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace. RSPCA actively encourages applications from members of minority ethnic groups and people with disabilities, as these candidates are currently under-represented in the organisation. Successful candidates for certain RSPCA roles will need to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
