About the Role

This part-time Saturday position offers the perfect balance for a veterinary surgeon seeking flexibility without sacrificing quality or team support. You'll work ideally 9am to 6pm every Saturday, with potential to expand to one or two additional weekdays if desired. The role is designed around small animal medicine and surgery in a modern, purpose-built facility that combines professional standards with a genuinely welcoming atmosphere.

Feltham's location is a major draw: just 30 minutes from Central London by train, under 15 minutes from the M25, M3, and M4, and only 2 miles from Heathrow. The area offers abundant parking, local amenities, and easy access to the green spaces of Surrey and Middlesex. You'll typically work alongside one or two other vets, though occasional sole charge may occur.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine small animal consultations and surgical procedures
• Deliver excellent patient care and client communication
• Work collaboratively with a team of 3 vets, 4 RVNs, 1 SVN, 1 VCA, and 5 receptionists
• Support Schedule 3 procedures performed by the experienced nursing team
• Contribute to a dynamic, team-focused practice environment
• Access support from a certificate holder for cardiac ultrasounds and complex surgeries available on site

Requirements

• Qualified Veterinary Surgeon (RCVS registered)
• Solid clinical skills and comfort with routine consultations and surgeries
• Strong team player with excellent client and patient care approach
• Proactive, dynamic attitude and ability to embrace all aspects of the role
• Flexibility to work Saturday schedules

Vets4Pets Feltham is a purpose-built, modern small animal practice with a bright, spacious, air-conditioned facility meeting industry-leading standards. The surgery is equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasound, separate dog, cat, and exotic wards, and in-house laboratory facilities. The practice benefits from a loyal client base and a good variety of cases.

Led by a practice owner who qualified in 2006 and joined in 2020, the practice has grown significantly under their leadership while maintaining a strong commitment to exceptional veterinary care and a supportive working environment. The nursing team brings significant experience and expertise, including training in Schedule 3 procedures. The practice works closely with neighbouring Vets4Pets clinics to provide extended clinical options.
